The Lion King

Omg I was so excited yesterday to finally get to see the stage show of The Lion King. I bought the tickets for my brother as his birthday present. I have been waiting ages to go and see this. I absolutely love the theatre I get goosebumps just sitting in my seat waiting for it to start. I just love the atmosphere of it all. I would go to the theatre every weekend if the tickets weren’t so dam expensive haha!

So I went with my brother obviously! his Girlfriend and my bestie Danielle (Insta – Danielle_sla go follow her!)

We started off down the strand and ate at Zizzis and yes it was my first time eating here. I have been Bella Italia but never Zizzis. OMG the food was amazing, I had garlic bread to start and then a pizza, best pizza I have eaten in ages!!!

After Zizzi’s we headed down to the Lyceum to see the show. The show was amazing. The singing, the acting and the puppet work. The amount of hard work that must go into each show is crazy. The costumes were created beautifully. The young actors who play young Simba and Nala were superb, I am sure they have a bright future ahead of them.

My favourite characters had to be the lady who played Rafiki and the gentleman who played Zazu. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to take photos, while the show was on. I wish I could have videoed to watch it over and over again! They even included new songs and songs from The Lion King 2 Simbas Pride.

The scene I thought they created best was the saddest bit, (SPOILER ALERT)

The scene with the wildebeest stampeed was overwhelming, they captured it so well, with the use of puppets, young Simba and a backdrop.

I would definatley recommend this as a must see!

My goodies I bought and my outfit. Dress and sandals from Primark.

I would give this a 5 heart rating from Creative Kate <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
