Dubai Day One πŸ’—

November 2018, I was lucky enough to get a space on an incentive work trip with HPe.

I work for an IT company and we are lucky enough to have incentives where there are trips like this up for grabs. I could not believe it when I got told I managed to win a place.

Dubai was the last place on earth I thought I would ever go, and to go all expenses paid was unbelievable. I know you probably see a lot on my insta but I thought I would break up the days in blog posts for you as well πŸ™‚

Day 1

First hotel we have stayed in was the Intercontinental Dubai Marina hotel. After the flight we was driven to the hotel for a buffet breakfast and a quick change before heading to an afternoon on a private catamaran around the Palm.

What a view for Breakfast!!

I have never been a boat sort of person so I was slightly apprehensive of the Catamaran.

When I realised the net on the boat was like trampoline netting I was more comfortable.

Lunch was served on the Catamaran a BBQ which was so nice and amazing to be on the boat with. Walking round while the boat was moving was a slight issue lol.

I loved the boat it was so relaxing especially after the long night flight which I didn’t sleep very well on.

After the boat trip we were taken back to the hotel to check into our rooms and get ready for dinner.

I couldn’t believe the room it was soooo nice! I loved the bathroom with the glass wall between the bedroom and the bathroom. I felt so important lol. The dressing gown and slippers included with the room made me feel in the words of my brother ‘Executive’ lol.

For dinner we went to the Buddha Bar. It was lovely, we had like a selection of starters mains and afters on a like a spinning table in the middle of our table. There was so much food a lot of it Asian themed. We had chicken salad, vegetable spring rolls, chicken curry and a chocolate mousse all delicious.

Walking through Dubai at night was lovely, all the buildings were lit up and it was so quiet and relaxing walking down the Marina. One of my account managers I was with on the trip I think hit the nail on the head with the description of Dubai, it was like walking around Canary Wharf. It was such a good way to describe all the buildings.

After dinner we took a nice stroll back to the hotel and then straight up to bed ready for the next day.

Hope you enjoyed by Day 1 in photos. Keep an eye out for Day 2 to come.
